1) Soak beans overnight.
2) Drain beans then cover add water till 3.5cm or 1.5 inch over top of beans.
3) Add everything except canned tomatoes and cook until beans are tender.
4) Add canned tomatoes and simmer on low heat for an additional 30 minutes.
Divide into 8 equal portions and freeze what you will not eat in the next 3 days. Freezes well!

Complete batch makes 8 servings. Use the above quantities, then after cooking, divide into 8 equal portions.
